PRENATAL CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Webster Technique
The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment protocol centered around sacral segmental dysfunctions and misalignments. Providing specific adjustments and treatments helps in reduction of interference to the nervous system as well as balance to the maternal pelvic muscles and ligaments.
The Webster technique aims to improve neuro-bio-mechanical function for a mother during pregnancy creating an optimal environment for the growing baby. It is a safe, drug-free and a natural way to reduce pain and allow an expecting mother to have a happier and healthier pregnancy.
My goal is to facilitate healing and restore efficient movement and comfort as quickly as possible.

PEDIATRIC CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Parents always ask why newborns, toddlers, children and teens need chiropractic care, especially if they're not in pain. Problems related to spinal dysfunctions may present differently in the pediatric population.
Symptoms may include but not be limited to difficulty breast feeding, colic, sleep difficulties, torticollis, constipation, bed wetting and scoliosis to name a few. Segmental dysfunctions can occur from minor or major traumas like sudden movements, falls and even the birthing process.
Think about a tree that is growing in your back yard. How do you want your tree to grow? We want that tree to grow correctly from early on so it can be strong and as healthy as possible. The idea is that by being proactive with children and allowing their spine and nervous system to grow properly early on we are preventing issues and the need to correct spinal misalignments later on in life. Chiropractic care is here to help through the slips, the falls and all the "oops" moments a child goes through on a daily basis. Pediatric chiropractic care involves a more gentle approach for correcting joint dysfunctions.
The integrity and function of the nervous system is very important for proper growth and development, especially for children. So, it is very important that the spine, which protects the nervous system, is moving properly and is in proper alignment in a growing child.

TONGUE-TIE
Although a chiropractor is unable to diagnose any oral tissue ties Dr Suzy has had training through Team Tongue Tie in order to recognize tight frenulum tissue in infants and children. Checking for tight oral tissue is important because it can be the cause of many problems and frustrations.
Infant problems include but are not limited to difficulty latching, painful breastfeeding, decrease in milk supply, colic, reflux, and gas. Other warning signs include clicking noises, poor latch, poor seal, upper lip tucked under, extended feeding times, milk tongue, lip blisters, sensitive gag reflex, constantly wanting to be held, crying when laid on their back, and picky with bottle or pacifiers.
If it is determined that a revision should be considered, we encourage parents to see a specialist, such as a pediatric dentist, for the revision.
